Oh the joy!

Here's a quick update...  We're sitting in a beautiful scenic pullout near Springer OK.   Too bad we're sitting here because we had a tire blowout.  Ugh.

Roadside service is on the way.  Apparently most RVs don't come with spare tires.   It's just as well. The tires are pretty large and awkward to handle... And as a lazy, retired person I don't like to work too hard anyway.  I'll wait for the man to show up...;-)

Just a few miles back I was passing a big rig when his tire EXPLODED right next to me....  We were showered with shrapnel...  I stomped on the breaks...  Tina and the dog were thrown forward.   But no apparent damage to the rig or people...all seemed OK.   However, I began to smell a burny, rubbery odor and the steering wheel was shaking too much...  So I pulled over just to be safe and, voila, right-rear,shredded tire.

Fortunately we have lots of food a kuerig and a nice bathroom...   Life is good..  :-)
